Shopify Forms or a spin wheel app?
Shopify Forms is Shopify's own free app for pop-up and inline sign-up forms, and it can show a discount code once someone signs up. Here's what it does well, where a spin wheel app like Spin Wheel adds something, and how to choose.

Shopify Forms is enough if…

What Shopify Forms does well
Shopify Forms is free, made by Shopify, and built for collecting sign-ups: its listing says Create inline and pop-up forms to collect wholesale leads, subscriber signups, and essential business information
1. A pop-up form floats over the page, and an inline form sits in a section of your theme3. Every form asks for an email or a phone number, can hold up to 31 fields, records email and SMS marketing consent and can tag the people who fill it in5. You can add a new or existing discount to a form to encourage sign-ups2, and the code shows once the form is sent5. For a plain newsletter box or a wholesale form, that's often all you need.
Where a spin wheel app adds something
- A game. Shopify Forms' listing and its help pages name no wheel, scratch card or other prize game12. Spin Wheel has a spin wheel, a scratch card and a gift box.
- Several prizes, with odds. A form shows one discount code5. In Spin Wheel each slice is one of your store's own discount codes, our servers draw the prize from the odds you set, and every spin wins one.
- Exit intent on phones. Shopify Forms' exit trigger is for desktop only4. Spin Wheel's works on desktop and phone.
- Your look, drafted for you. Spin Wheel reads your theme's logo, colors and fonts and your products, and AI drafts pop-ups from them for you to pick from.
What Shopify Forms has that Spin Wheel doesn't: inline forms on a page, and custom fields such as a date or a file upload35. Spin Wheel's sign-ups are listed in its Submissions page, ready to download as a CSV.
Using both
You can run both: an inline Shopify form for wholesale enquiries, say, and a Spin Wheel pop-up for sign-ups. Spin Wheel shows one of its own pop-ups at a time, and holds back while a myuser.ai pop-up is open, but it can't hold back a Shopify Forms pop-up, so if both are set to open on the same pages, keep one of them off those pages.

Does Shopify Forms have a spin wheel?
Not that its own pages say. When we checked on October 29, 2026, its App Store listing described pop-up and inline forms with discounts, and neither the listing nor Shopify's help pages for the app named a wheel or another prize game. For a wheel, add a spin wheel app such as Spin Wheel.
Is Shopify Forms free?
Yes. Its listing's price is Free, and Shopify's help center says it isn't installed by default, but it's free to install and use.
Can Shopify Forms give a discount code?
Yes. You can add a new or existing discount to a form, and the code shows to the customer once they've completed it. It's one code, not a prize game.
Does Shopify Forms have exit intent on phones?
No. Shopify's help describes its exit trigger as showing the form when visitors attempt to leave the page, on desktop only. Spin Wheel's exit intent works on desktop and phone.
Can I use Shopify Forms and Spin Wheel together?
Yes. An inline form and a Spin Wheel pop-up sit happily on the same page. Spin Wheel can't hold back a Shopify Forms pop-up, though, so if both are set to open on the same pages, keep one of them off those pages.
