Spin WheelFree coupon code generator
Make up to 1,000 random discount codes at once. Choose a prefix and a length, leave out look-alike characters, then copy the list or download a CSV.
Pick the right kind of code
How a code will be shared decides how it should look. A code printed on a card is read aloud and typed on a phone, so it should be short. A code meant for one person should be hard to guess.
| Use | Good format | Example |
|---|---|---|
| Printed card or event | A word and a number | SPRING20 |
| Partner or creator | A name and a number | MAYA15 |
| A code for one customer | A prefix and six or more random characters | THANKS-7KQ2XM |
Put the season or the offer in the prefix, so you can tell where an order's code came from at a glance. To learn when one shared code is fine and when each shopper should get their own, read unique vs. shared coupon codes.
How to use the codes in Wix
- Go to Coupons in your site's dashboard and click + New Coupon.
- Choose the coupon type, such as a % Discount, a $ Discount or Free shipping.
- Paste one code into Coupon code, set the dates and any limits, then click Create Coupon.
Each code must be different from every other coupon code on your site. If you need many coupons with the same settings, Wix's Bulk Coupon Creator app can copy one coupon into up to 1,000 coupons with unique codes. Our guide to creating a coupon code in Wix Stores walks through every setting, from minimum orders to end dates.

Coupon codes, answered
How do I generate a random coupon code?
Pick a prefix, a length and how many codes you need, then press Generate codes. Each character is drawn with your browser's secure random generator, and look-alike characters such as 0 and O are left out, so codes are hard to guess and easy to type.
How long should a coupon code be?
Short enough to type and long enough not to guess. A code you share widely, such as SPRING20, can be short, since it's meant to spread. A code meant for one person should have six or more random characters. Wix coupon codes can be up to 20 characters.
Are Wix coupon codes case sensitive?
No. Wix says codes aren't case sensitive, so SPRING20 and spring20 work the same. This tool makes uppercase codes because they're easier to read and to say out loud.
Can two coupons use the same code?
Not on Wix, where each coupon code must be different from every other coupon code on your site. Every code in a batch from this tool is unique, so check a new batch against any older codes you still use.
